WHO DOES YOUR ORGANIZATION SERVE?
A New Dawn helps people heal from loss and helps them process grief in a better, more loving and efficient way. Our founder, Dawn Jiosi, lost her husband tragically 8 years ago and has since dedicated herself to widows and others who need to heal in a positive way.
WHAT IS THEIR BIGGEST CHALLENGE?
As if the pain felt from your loss wasn't hard enough, you may also be suffering from exhaustion, helplessness, isolation, and even guilt. Though you may not realize it now, the only to get to a new future (and thus create 'A New Dawn') is by honoring and accepting your past circumstances--and accepting the present as-is. The bad news, it's hard. The good news, it's possible.
By surrounding yourself with positive energy, optimism, and loving people, your grieving process becomes a lot easier and far more manageable. No one should have to grieve alone. Together we will share, together we will heal, and together we will love.
HOW DO YOU HELP THEM?
We are a supportive, loving, compassionate, and caring community of likeminded people who have been through similar life-changing, a.k.a. life shattering, events. We are committed to supporting and sustaining people who are dealing with loss by:
- Showing empathy and understanding
- Changing the taboos around widows and divorcées
- Moving the mindset from just Surviving to THRIVING
- Initiating conversations around “Death/Change” earlier on in Life
- Helping people understand that death can be a transcending
