WHO DOES YOUR ORGANIZATION SERVE?

We offer uplifting support resources for those who have been touched by a crisis in pregnancy or the death of a baby.

WHAT IS THEIR BIGGEST CHALLENGE?

For families in crisis during the early hours after a loss, searching through the many resources available can be overwhelming. The founder of the site, Timothy Nelson, knows firsthand just how overwhelming. In 1983, Nelson's daughter was stillborn. The effect it had on his family inspired him to author two books on the subject, and start A Place to Remember, so that he may extend help to others who may be dealing with a similarly tragic loss.

HOW DO YOU HELP THEM?

We have created this site to help narrow the selections of resources that we feel are especially useful soon after hearing the news. This is by no means a comprehensive list, it is simply a sampling of material that we feel address the immediate needs of families who may be in shock or overcome with grief.

A Place To Remember also publishes numerous other booklets, several books, a line of greeting cards, memory box, and products for the funeral industry. In addition, we offer the products of many other publishers in an effort to better supply needed products to our customers. Here is a list of some of the topics our products address; bedrest, infertility, preterm birth, miscarriage, stillbirth, early infant death, and SIDS.

In addition, our site also contains a Remembrance Book which are webpages that are dedicated to babies who have died but who continue to live in our hearts forever.

Music to Grieve to

Listening to sad music after losing a loved one, being diagnosed with a terminal illness, or finalizing a divorce might seem counterintuitive, but this somber sounding activity has been proven to help.

Nothing can prepare you for grief, nor is there a right or wrong way to deal with it, but sad music is an easily accessible and highly effective tool that can help you begin to heal.
