Who Does Your Product Serve?
Christy Garavetto - Fine Art Photography is for anyone who wants a photograph that moves them emotionally. I have a few photos of nature that I feel will help people who are feeling disconnected emotionally. The photos help them to start a conversation by either choosing a coffee mug that shows how they feel to those around them at the moment. The audience for these photos would be the grieving or the ones who come in to help them get through it. The photos can be printed on to shirts as well for groups to wear and connect and not feel alone.
What Is Their Biggest Challenge?
PTSD, depression, bereavement, anxiety, therapists who help people in those areas, causes they want to stand up for, fundraisers for animals, cheering and inspiring one another
How Does Your Product Help?
Some of my photos of nature show what you feel at the time or how far you have come or that you can help someone else get through a tough time. I also have some that inspire people to feel better, to connect and interact.

Anything Else We're Missing?
What suddenly occurred to me is that we have all of these people who are unable to deal with their own sense of loss, grief or feeling that they don't belong anywhere - so many people are searching for where they fit in and how they fit in due to life changes or circumstances beyond their control, it spans all age groups, ethnic groups, etc. What is needed, in some cases, is a way to start the connection and I feel that my photos do that - whether it is a Dr. who's feeling the after affects of a really tough loss or a nurse who gets it - so they could just be having coffee and the Dr. chooses the coffee cup with the leaf on it that has a hole in it and the nurse sees that and comes back with a cup of their own that has a photo of two leaves touching - like hands holding - and sets it down next to the first one as they exchange a look. That's the beginning and that is the next step in opening up. It could be a shirt for a grief group that people take home so they don't feel disconnected when they are back home and it could show that progress happens in grief too. It can be great for men who feel but cannot find the words to talk about it - as a heads up for the closest to them or to their group of care givers helping them through therapy for loss, suicide prevention, PTSD, survivors guilt, pet loss etc. Starting the conversation or just expressing what is going on inside without words. Thank you for helping me to share what I have to offer people when they are feeling lost and grieving.
Music to Grieve toListening to sad music after losing a loved one, being diagnosed with a terminal illness, or finalizing a divorce might seem counterintuitive, but this somber sounding activity has been proven to help.
Nothing can prepare you for grief, nor is there a right or wrong way to deal with it, but sad music is an easily accessible and highly effective tool that can help you begin to heal.Learn How Sad Music Can Help You
